Four kids make a mysterious discovery on their home planet that leads them to become lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Jude Law in “Skeleton Crew”; plus more stars from a galaxy far, far away.. The holographic circus that entertains Neil’s little siblings is the same one that watches over Chewbacca’s extended family in the infamous The Star Wars Holiday Special (1978)..
The first 2 episodes don’t break new ground, nor are they very original, but that’s not a problem, as it handles everything well
Since I know a lot of hate will be directed at this show because of the rise and fall of the last Star Wars, I’m happy to say that this is a rise. So far… The cast and acting are great, the costume/set design is probably the best we’ve seen since Andor, the script, especially the hilarious banter between the kids, was good.
It gives me strong Treasure Planet vibes
Again, nothing new, but intriguing nonetheless, and I’m excited to keep watching. As someone who hasn’t enjoyed any recent Star Wars, I was pleasantly surprised by Skeleton Crew. I hope anyone who’s been a little interested or even upset by the recent shows will give it a try.
