The film was shot in the historical Independence Square in Independence, Missouri, which actually looks like this year-round. The locations that housed the Higman Family Store and Norma and Nick’s BBQ Restaurant are also family-owned stores in real life.

The square is also illuminated with Christmas lights, just like in the movie. Alana Higman (Hunter King) is a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan. As a child, her parents would meet families sitting next to each other at games. They are waiting for the Fan of the Year competition.

Director of Fan Engagement Derrick (Tyler Hynes) conducts the assessment. Most compelling in this film is the relationship between Hallmark and Kansas City executives. The corporate world calls this synergy. I was hoping for more real Kansas City Chiefs.
I think everyone needs a salary
I expected a few high level players to face our pair. That’s what the players should want too. As for the pairing, I’ve always loved Hunter King’s comedic timing and Tyler Hains looks great, although they could try Niall Cunningham. There are a surprising number of familiar faces in other roles.
It’s a great Hallmark and maybe even more synergy
