After a horrific incident at an elite college, cousins Caroline and Lucien decide to save their power and reputation by seducing the daughter of the US Vice President. This will be the third attempt to create a TV series based on The World of Okrutne Housekeeper (1999). The direct-to-video sequel Okrutne namjere 2 (2000), in which Amy Adams replaced Sarah Michelle Gellar as Kathryn Merteuil, was originally a scripted TV series before being adapted into a feature film. Later, in 2016, Gellar will play the role of Kathryn in the NBC pilot Cruel Intentions (2016), which was not ordered to series.
